Has the hypothesis suggested in this blog been reported earlier?

26 Jul

I examined the link provided by Jokodo (http://159.226.149.45/compgenegroup/paper/subing%20NatureReview.pdf)

and found that it is not the Model D that he suggested to me for my hypothesis, if we go by the conclusions reported by the authors, as follows: ”Conclusions: On the basis of the genetic evidence generated so far, particularly from Y-chromosome data, modern humans in East Asia have a recent common origin in Africa. It is suggested that the first entry of modern humans into the southern part of East Asia occurred about 18,000–60,000 years ago, and was followed by a northward migration that coincided with the receding glaciers in that area”.

Look at it again. They present different models and discuss the evidence for and against them. One of those models, which they label as “D”, is exactly what you want to reinvigorate without checking out findings of the last 50 years first. Look at the diagram on the second page, and the text discussing the various models.

After discussing the evidence pertaining to the different models, they *conclude* (among other things) that model “D” – your model – is untenable. If you want to reinvigorate it, you’ll have to directly address the evidence that brought them to this conclusion.

Who were the originators of my Model ‘D’ that these author’s examined and on what grounds had they arrived at this particular model as being the most persuasive scenario of the coming of modern man across the globe from all available evidence?

“Who were the originators…” – see references. I’m not going to do all the reading for you.

“on what grounds had they arrived…” – on the basis of insufficient data, as we now know.

You are supposed to provide the grounds upon which you decided that my model is exactly the same as the model D that you just drew my attention to in the report that we are examining today. Are you going to do that?

I’m not “supposed to” do anything until and unless you can demonstrate that you’ve read the sources that have been given to you and at least *tried* to understand them.
